Junos Space Virtual Control

Virtual Control enables users to manage, monitor, and control the virtual network environments that run within virtualized severs deployed in the data center. Built on the Junos Space platform, Virtual Control provides network operators with end-to-end visibility into, and control over, both virtual and physical networks from a single pane of glass.

Junos Space Virtual Control includes the following features and benefits:

  • Automated orchestration to minimise errors:

The Virtual-to-Physical Mapper and P+V Dynamic Orchestrator features ensure that network administrators can keep their physical and virtual networks in proper alignment, eliminating errors that occur when the network systems are out of sync.
  • Simplified data center manageability:

Virtual Control allows network administrators to discover, manage and monitor virtual and physical networks from a single pane of glass. With the VM Locator feature, operators can locate virtual machines (VMs) in the network infrastructure and disable network access for misbehaving VMs. Network operators can also use vSwitch Profiles to group common network Best Practice settings to quickly and easily deploy multiple services in the data center, always with the right network policies in place.
  • Interoperable & compatible:

Based on an open architecture that allows easy integration of hypervisors from leading virtualization vendors, Virtual Control leverages publicly available APIs to communicate with virtual switches. Virtual Control is easily extensible, enabling enabling this virtual network visibility system to work with hypervisors besides the initially available VMware vSphere 4.0.
