2012 Breakfast Seminar: Secure Your Mobile Workplace
May 12
The increased use of Wi-Fi enabled devices and laptops by mobile workers has introduced new on-ramps for security breaches that threaten the corporate enterprise network. As a result, IT teams are struggling with the best way to enable basic connectivity for their mobile users across a wide variety of mobile platforms.
The bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend is also contributing to these challenges. When organisations give employees permission to use their personal mobile, tablet or laptop device for work, IT teams need a strategy in place that will ensure the protection of company data as well as securing the personal data on the employee device.
Netsolutions held a breakfast seminar at River's Edge in Southwarf to discuss a Secure Mobility solution offering enterprise customers a Mobile Device Management program, market-leading SSL/VPN and Unified Access Control, and a highly secure Wireless LAN portfolio. Together these solutions provide enterprises with a comprehensive toolkit to help secure and manage a heterogeneous mobile environment.

The ICT Industry in particular needs to stay one step ahead in reacting to the consistent changes in technologies that ultimately affect our business everyday. Although there are ups and downs, peaks and tweaks, highs and lows, the importmant message is that we need to keep moving ahead and look forward to the exciting new innovations that these challenges bring to light.
